Pantry & Produce Distributions
Food Pantry Days
Mondays 8 am – 9:30 am / Wednesdays 8 am – 9:30 am
Patrons can select enough food from shelves to fill a large grocery bag. Seven personal products may be selected from a list once a month. An additional box will be given with a variety of items selected from the inventory such as fresh produce and meat. Qualifying individuals may take advantage of this program twice a month.
Produce Distribution
Patrons must sign in each time produce is distributed. Sign in begins 30 minutes prior to
distribution. An individual may take advantage of this program three times each month. After signing in, wait in the car line until distribution begins, then drive up and a box of produce will be passed out to each car curbside.
1st Tuesday of the month, 8:30 am- 9:30 am
3rd Thursday of the month, 8:30 am – 9:30 am
4th Wednesday of the month, 6:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m.
Select Produce Distribution.
We are pleased to announce the addition of a new program called “Select Produce”. With this distribution, individuals are able to select produce and bakery items that fit their needs from an available inventory. These fall on the weeks where regular distribution is not scheduled. This allows more options to individuals and families.

Home Delivery with Door Dash
Elsie Area Food Pantry in partnership with Greater Lansing Food Bank has entered into a new program that can deliver food to qualifying applicants. Greater Lansing Food Bank is proud to provide a safe, convenient delivery of food to Mid-Michigan communities. A participant can have a box of food delivered to their home once a month and do not need to be home to receive it. As the need grows, we will evaluate the need to expand the service.
To receive home delivery of a pantry pack of shelf-stable food items, neighbors must:
• Meet federally-set income guidelines for The Emergency Food Assistance Program (TEFAP), OR
• Qualify for one of the following programs: SNAP, WIC, FDPIR. CSFP, free/reduced school lunches, OR
• Be in need of food
AND
• Live within 10 miles of the Elsie Area Food Pantry.
If you or anyone you know is interested in participating in this program go to
https://greaterlansingfoodbank.org/get-help/home-delivery to apply.
Weekend Kids Kits
Weekend Kids Kits are bags of food that are intended to meet the nutritional needs of children during non-school hours, particularly over weekends or longer breaks. These bags contain nonperishable, easy to prepare food designed to help families. Kits are available at the Food Pantry as well as the Elsie Public Library.
Closures: When Ovid-Elsie Area Schools are closed due to weather conditions, the food pantry will also be closed. We are closed for most holidays.
